Ultrasound Technician

Position Overview

As an Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic ultrasound procedures with precision to assist in accurate medical assessment. Your role ensures the production of high-quality images, patient safety, and vital support to physicians in diagnosing and managing medical conditions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with medical standards and protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients properly to capture accurate imaging results.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure quality imaging and reliable performance.
  • Document and record imaging results accurately in patient records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide diagnostic assistance.
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Observe safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols at all times.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate for repairs or calibration as needed.

Qualification

  • Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related allied health course.
  • With formal training and certification in ultrasound procedures.
  • Relevant experience in conducting diagnostic ultrasound is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ultrasound equipment and imaging techniques.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
