Position Overview

As a Medical Encoder, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering medical records and diagnostic data into the healthcare information system. Your role ensures the integrity of patient information, supports timely medical documentation, and contributes to the overall efficiency of healthcare services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately encode patient records, diagnostic results, and medical information into the healthcare system.
  • Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of medical data before entry.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Assist in organizing, updating, and managing electronic and physical medical records.
  • Coordinate with healthcare staff to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
  • Generate reports and summaries based on encoded medical data when required.

Qualification

  • College graduate in Medical Records, Health Information Management, or any related course.
  • With relevant experience in medical data entry, health information, or clinical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medical records.
  • Good communication and coordination skills for working with healthcare teams.
  • Proficiency in medical software, databases, or healthcare information systems is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in managing patient records.
