Position Overview

As an Echo Cardiographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography and related cardiac imaging studies to support comprehensive heart evaluation. Your role ensures accurate imaging, patient safety, and essential support for cardiologists in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular conditions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiography and related cardiac imaging studies in accordance with established medical standards.
  • Prepare and position patients properly to obtain accurate cardiac imaging results.
  • Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment to ensure high-quality imaging and reliable performance.
  • Document and record imaging results accurately in patient records.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Educate and reassure patients about procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Follow strict protocols for patient safety, infection control, and confidentiality.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate for maintenance, calibration, or repairs as needed.

Qualification

  • Graduate of a healthcare-related course (e.g., Radiologic Technology, Medical Technology, Nursing, or equivalent).
  • With specialized training and certification in echocardiography.
  • Relevant clinical experience in performing echocardiographic procedures is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of echocardiography equipment and cardiac imaging techniques.
  • Good communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
